Christina is an award-winning composer, filmmaker and poet. She has composed music for more than 40 award-winning short and feature films, as well as for stage plays, TV series, dance performances and commercials produced in Europe and the United States. She received the Best Soundtrack Award at the Monaco International Film Festival for her music for the film "Styx" (2008) and was voted Woman of the Year (Music Category, MFA Awards) in 2019. Christina studied music (BMus, MA, PhD) at King's College, The Royal Academy of Music and City University in London, winning, amongst others, three awards in piano performance in London and Brussels and performing all over Europe. She is a Member of the European Film Academy since 2012. In 2021, she produced and directed her debut documentary feature, "The Stray Story: A dogumentary", which has to date received 13 international awards and is now available on major streaming platforms. 2024 marked the release of "Introvert", a personal album featuring original songs, and the publication of her fourth poetry book, titled "Depth of Field".

Christina composed the original score for the horror feature film "The Ghosts of Monday", with a star cast including Julian Sands (Remains of a Day), Mark Hubberman (Vikings), Elva Trill (Jurassic World), Flavia Watson (The Mentalist) and Mariana Rosset. The soundtrack album is available on all digital music platforms.

The first of a series of albums featuring previously unpublished original songs by Christina is now available on all digital platforms! The album features songs in both English and Greek with electro elements and influences of alternative, rock, jazz and pop, as well as a duet and a low bap piece, performed by actor Giorgos Miliotis.

An American-Italian co-production, produced by National Geographic's Head and Disney Executive, Adam Leipzig, Ivo Romagnoli and director Michela Scolari, the film takes place in idyllic Sciacca in Sicily. Christina composed the original motion picture soundtrack, which is expected to be released soon.

Directed by Martin Bonnici for Shadeena Entertainment and supported by the Malta Book Council, this political thriller is already stirring the waters in Malta, with some excellent performances by Chris Galea, Erica Muskat, Gianni Selvaggi and Joseph Zammit, among others. Christina's original score is available on all major platforms.

Christina's debut documentary feature, "The Stray Story: A dogumentary", winner of 13 international awards, including Best Debut Film, Best Female Director and Best Documentary, is finally available on major streaming platforms! The film's goal is to raise awareness worldwide on the issue of stray dogs and it has been approved for school screenings for all ages.

As part of the exhibition "DOMA: From Plato's cave to modern 'reality'", presented at the MOMus Experimental Center for the Arts in Thessaloniki, Stathis Mitsios designed a multimedia reading of the allegory, reconstructing fragments of older works and collaborations into a new piece that combines 3D Projection Mapping with an ever-changing soundscape, featuring sound and music by Christina Georgiou.

A beautifully designed production, directed by Achilleas Grammaticopoulos, featuring music by Christina, premiered at Ethal in late October 2023. This is Christina's third collaboration with Ethal, preceded by Bennet's "Talking Heads" (2021) and Marta Buchaca's "Plastilina" (2022). The original music and songs will be released as an album soon!

It was an honour to be voted Woman of the Year (Music category), among a number of excellent colleagues, as part of the Madame Figaro "Woman of the Year Awards" for the year 2019. Due to the pandemic, the ceremony took place in late 2020.
